A Quick Walk at the Historic Old Town in Alexandria
Growing up appreciating a ton of vintage collection of porcelein, antiques, and artifacts of my grandmom, I've always been a junkie of anything vintage even I'm a city girl at heart. This is why falling in love with Old Town Alexandria the first time I saw it last year comes as no surprise. I'm infatuated with its architecture, brick sidewalks, pastel colored boutiques, and Victorian Houses. I feel like I'm almost in Europe.
A few minutes away from Bethesda, Maryland, Alexandria is one of my go to places whether I'm in need of some creative inspiration or when I'm craving for some great food from a chef-driven restaurant outside DC.
On Saturday, August 19th I convinced my sister to come visit the Old Town for the night with me. It was her first time being here since her arrival in the United States from the Philippines this late June.
In par with Alexandria's Restaurant Week, we decided to eat at my Mom's favorite Italian Restaurant a few blocks from the Old Town - a la lucia Restaurant.
